I took the boys on an adventure down memory lane for several weeks in July.
First stop, our wonderful neighbors from North Carolina, the Tumlins.
Sandra, Kathryn, Lauren, and Jack welcomed us back home. It was awesome to be back. We caught up with so many friends and old neighbors, and it was a reunion my boys have not stopped talking about.
After stopping in at Primrose to see many of our favorite teachers, we went to Windshear and TRD to check in on the racing world. The wind is still blowing, and the cars are still turning left, and so all is well!
One more racing stop - Richard Childress Racing, where many of my old friends from Petty's are now working. Rich loaded the kids up with lugnuts and cookies, and Gunnar asked at least 5793 questions.
Next stop, the Spachs! Tiffany, Bryan, and Keegan were a welcome sight! We all picked up just where we left off. Bryan even treated us girls to a night out while he braved cow night at Chick-fil-a with the boys. We all had a great night!
Tiff took us to SciWorks, a super interactive science museum, where Tiff and I even got in on some of the action!
And no trip to the Spachs is complete without a ride down the Slip-N-Slide!
And one last stop in NC before heading north to Virginia. Our awesome 'Hoo friends, Lindsay and Ryan Davis just welcomed their son, Wade, to the world. And so we stopped by to see how chaotic we could make a house with a newborn there. Big sister Vanessa was very sweet to share her toys, and I am so thankful that Lindsay gave us the chance to descend on them - I miss her!!
What an amazing opportunity to check in with such dear friends. We miss you, North Carolina!
Next up, family time with Grammy and Pop-Pop!
