A Happy Halloween!

Halloween was a blast this year. We actually started celebrating in September, when Gunnar insisted we get a pumpkin so that he could scoop it out. Needless to say, we found ourselves buying a second pumpkin in October since the first met its demise in the compost pile several weeks before Halloween. With help from Mr. Mike, our pumpkin turned into an adorable Elmo.

The Friday before Halloween, Primrose celebrated with their annual parade. We got there in time to hold our cute little pumpkin...

...and to see a less-than-thrilled green dragon waddle around the playground.

Apparently, that is the face that Gunnar makes when his dragon suit is about 5 inches too short in the torso, thus creating a MAJOR wedgie. I'm still not sure how the teachers were physically able to pull his hood up. Needless to say, on Halloween night, the hood stayed down. And he was a much happier dragon!

We met up with the neighbors for a costume contest and trick or treating.

Gunnar was a bit timid at first, unsure of what this holiday was all about.

But after about 2 houses, he quickly figured out that all he had to do was knock on a door to get some candy, and he was off!

And here he is with the cutest little bumble bee I've ever seen, our neighbor, Lauren.

Though Levi never made it into his full pumpkin costume for the night's adventures (he was asleep when it was time to go), he was still in the spirit and had fun spectating.
