Goofing off
Erik's out of town this week, and so this is how we've been entertaining ourselves...
Gunnar had fun taking some pictures too...

Gingerbread cookies!
Grammy shared her secret recipe, and the boys went to town making eating gingerbread cookies frosting. Yum!

Second Santa sighting!
We went for a Santa train ride at the Nevada Railroad Museum. The train was awesome.
"Say cheese!"
Gunnar loved seeing Santa again and getting a candy cane.
Levi would still prefer that the man in the red suit STAY AWAY!

Just another morning run
Hmmm... my hair is frostbit!
And Joslyn's (my awesome new running buddy!!) eyelashes froze!
Oh look... perhaps that's what running in 4 degrees F does to you!!

GE Christmas party
Now that Erik is no longer working remotely, we actually get to partake in the fun GE festivities. Gunnar got to ride on the float at the Parade of Lights (great parade, but too cold to take pictures!), and Erik got to grab my bum as we posed for a picture at the GE Christmas party. Nice.
First Santa sighting of the year
Our first visit with Santa this year was at the Genoa pancake breakfast. The boys got to go up on stage to visit with the man in the red suit, and Gunnar was very excited to go ask him for a blue skateboard. Levi was having fun until he saw that strange fellow. He then proceeded to let out a deafening scream, causing a brief hush across the room as folks wondered if we had actually dropped him on his head. Fortunately for Levi, the camera battery died as we tried to get a picture of his terrified face.
During the breakfast, we had the opportunity to write a letter to Santa, which Santa has since replied to. On the letter, Gunnar drew a large circle with small, deliberate characters inside. I asked him what he was drawing. He said, "I'm writing letters to Santa." Priceless!
