Happy Easter!

From Easter 2011

Easter in Charlottesville

We spent our 3-day Easter weekend at Grammy and Pop-Pop's house and had lots of fun dying eggs, baking cookies, napping (I think I got my best nap in over a year!!), and playing outside.

Did I mention that Levi started walking this weekend? He can take 4 steps before falling down, and he is SO proud of himself! Time to batten down the hatches!!

Easter in Laurel Park

Our neighborhood did a fantastic Easter celebration this year, complete with an egg hunt, petting zoo, and pony rides.

We found some cracked eggs along the way...

Our garden

I've been talking about it for years, and we finally did it. We planted our first fruit and vegetable garden!
From Our garden

Our produce includes lettuce, spinach, broccoli, strawberries, and blueberries. Gunnar got to pick our first strawberry crop, which yielded 2 whole strawberries. They were delicious!

Fortunately, our lettuce crop yielded quite a bit more, and we can now eat salads everyday for the next month!

Dorton Park

One of Gunnar's favorite school friends, Genevieve, lives next to the park by school, and we recently spent an afternoon there together. We had fun with rocket balloons and chariot rides!

Off to the Rivah

While Erik was on one of his epic adventures with work, I took the boys to Virginia to join in on a family visit to The Rivah to see Nan. The kids love to go fishing when we're there. And the fish like the hot dogs we feed them.

Phew! I'm exhausted! (And, yes, this is a typical Levi sleep position. One day I'll get the I-just-woke-up photo with fingerprints on his face!)
